“FineR UNI” universal epoxy resin is a high-quality resin for use in very various applications such as resin art, impregnating, applying a coating (eg. on table tops), laminating, gluing and filling. It creates very clear and transparent layers.

This universal epoxy resin is the best choice where fast curing is needed like resin art, painting, art, and other creative applications such as woodworking and modeling. Especially when working with colors and thin layers. It is also widely used in construction applications and boat industry & water sports.

“FineR UNI” with its low viscosity and thinner layers any bubbles have the opportunity to escape. Very smooth curing and crystal clear transparency – it is an excellent resin when you need fast, glossy finish, and not a necessarily thick layer. Excellent for adding a coating layer on tabletops.

With this universal epoxy resin, you can pour thin layers up to 1.5 cm in 20C per layer. If you want to pour thick layers or large volumes then you can use our “FineR DEEP” casting resin. This allows pouring thicker layers of up to 7 cm at a time. Epoxy casting resin is also crystal clear and slowly hardens.

Universal epoxy resin can be successfully used for paintings, jewelry, casting low profile objects, photos.  You can use it as an impregnating layer where necessary – penetrates well into the surface to be treated.

This is an excellent resin for filling small wood cracks and gluing wood elements together.

Pigments, glowing powder, pearl & metallic pigments, ink and colors, UV stabilizer

Our “FineR UNI” universal epoxy resin can be easily mixed with many different types of pigments, ink or powder. You can mix colors to obtain colors and shades you need. Glowing in the dark powder can be added and is also available. Usually, for the best glowing effect you can use between 5% – 50%. It is also very popular resin for any art resin creative work.

“FineR UNI” has very good UV light protection. But if you want to protect it against yellowing for a longer time then you can add UV stabilizer to epoxy resin.

Using our special epoxy pigments (dyes), the epoxy can be colored as desired.

FineR UNI epoxy resin use

After applying the epoxy is a hard, protective, waterproof coating that adheres excellently to almost any surface such as wood, stone, concrete, most plastics, metal, aluminum, etc.

Our epoxy resin can be applied with a brush or roller. It can also be poured in thin layers (<=1.5 cm). This epoxy resin is thin-fluid and penetrates deeply into an absorbent surface.

Do not try to modify cure speed by using more hardener – the resin will not cure. This is very important: respect the two to one ratio.

Technical information

Each set of “FineR UNI” universal epoxy resin set consists of 2 components: resin and hardener.

• Mixing ratio: 2 (resin parts) : 1 (hardener part) mixed by weight
• Maximum layer thickness:  1,5 cm at 20C. You can pour many layers on each other
• The minimum processing temperature: 10 degrees Celsius. The lower process temperature, the longer curing process takes.
• Processing time (pot life): approx. 45 minutes
• Dust dry after: approx. 2-4 hours
• Full cure after: 24 hours (depending on temperature and layer thickness)
• Shelf life: Minimum 2 years in sealed containers at ambient temperature
